Pediatric Clinical Psychologist (Advanced Practice) - Medical Behavioral Unit

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Pediatric Clinical Psychologist provides specialized direct patient care in assigned locations, adhering to Rady Children's integrated behavioral health models and guidelines. They develop care plans, implement evidence-based therapies, and conduct diagnostic testing as per these guidelines. The psychologist recommends ongoing treatment and links children to community mental health resources and therapeutic services. They collaborate with supervisors, managers, directors, and leadership to coordinate, plan, evaluate, and improve psychologist roles at Rady Children's. The psychologist also collaborates with operational leaders, physicians, and staff to advance behavioral health initiatives aimed at improving pediatric health.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements care plans based on evidence-based therapies and diagnostic testing
• Collaborates with supervisors, managers, directors, and leadership to improve psychologist roles
• Participates in advancing behavioral health initiatives to improve pediatric health
• Links children to community mental health resources and therapeutic services
• Works collaboratively with operational leaders, physicians, and staff to advance behavioral health initiatives

Requirements

• BLS for Health Providers (American Heart Association)
• PHD or PSYD in clinical psychology or related field of psychology with specialization in pediatrics
• California State license
• Specialized training or certification in applicable area of work
• ADOS training and experience, PCIT certification, diagnostic testing
• 0-5 APA accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in pediatric psychology, sleep psychology, pain psychology, or other applicable specialty fellowship and/or certification in an advanced practice area
• 1 year clinical experience
• Successfully completes the required credentialing process for the department/area of practice

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a degree from an APA accredited program, 3 years post-licensure clinical experience, and specialized training or certification in applicable areas of work.

Pay

The current salary range for this position is $58.38 to $80.28. Rady Children’s Hospital maintains competitive salaries through regular market reviews.
