Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer - Per Diem

About the Role

This position involves performing pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment, adhering to safety and radiological standards. The role requires independent operation, technical expertise, and the ability to train and supervise entry-level staff. Experience in pediatric echocardiography and fetal scanning is preferred, along with a strong understanding of cardiac physiology and congenital heart defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures
• Verify patient information and provide clear instructions
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment
• Ensure safety and compliance with radiological standards
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for diagnosis and treatment
• Conduct quality control and manage supplies
• Train and supervise entry-level staff
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field
• ARDMS or CCI registration
• Minimum 4 years of ultrasound experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in pediatric echocardiography and fetal scanning (preferred)

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of radiologic procedures, safety protocols, and patient care

Pay

Pay range: $48.60 - $61.96 per hour.
