Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer - Per Diem

About the role

This position involves performing cardiac ultrasound procedures to support diagnosis and treatment in pediatric patients, primarily in outpatient clinics and occasionally in NICU settings. The role requires independent operation, adherence to radiological standards, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and ensure accurate imaging results.
• Conduct cardiac ultrasound procedures on pediatric patients, including fetal scanning when required.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Train and mentor staff or students as needed.
• Adhere to radiologic procedures and radiation safety protocols.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field.
• Registered as a Diagnostic or Cardiac Sonographer (RDMS, RDCS, or equivalent).
• Minimum of four years of experience in sonography, with pediatric and fetal scanning experience preferred.

• Manual dexterity and physical ability to stand for extended periods.
