Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

About the role

This position seeks a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physician to join a leading academic medical center's Department of Pediatrics. The role involves providing expert care for children with complex congenital and acquired heart conditions, overseeing a multidisciplinary cardiac ICU team, and participating in patient transport and intake processes. The physician will also be actively engaged in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows, and will collaborate with various specialties to develop innovative programs and clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert intensive care for pediatric patients with complex congenital and acquired heart conditions.
• Oversee and lead a multidisciplinary cardiac ICU team.
• Participate in patient transport and intake processes.
• Engage in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Collaborate with multiple specialties to develop innovative clinical programs.
• Contribute to clinical research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care.
• Additional training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care.
• Unrestricted medical license in Texas.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to excellence with the ability to motivate teams and influence at multiple levels.
• Track record of leadership, program development, and innovation in pediatric heart care.

Academic Appointment

The position offers an opportunity for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher, accompanied by a competitive compensation package.
