About the role

Join a dedicated pediatric critical care team, focusing on developing a specialized Pediatric Cardiac ICU within a 32-bed PICU at Virginia's only independent children's hospital. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support and grow the cardiac ICU service line while engaging in teaching and mentoring within Virginia’s largest pediatric residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to general PICU and cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to expand the cardiac ICU service line.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring within Virginia’s largest pediatric residency program.
• Share a 1:9 call schedule covering PICU and cardiac cases.
• Contribute to the expansion and leadership of the pediatric cardiac ICU.
• Provide high-quality patient care and support institutional growth.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring, and potentially academic activities without research obligations.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for innovation and team-based care.
