Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in Cardiac Critical Care, providing expert care within a pediatric cardiac critical care unit.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and community resources.
• Document care processes according to standards and policies.
• Participate in staff and student education and orientation.
• Assess patients through history, observation, and physical examination.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; conduct health assessments and screenings.
• Manage cardiac critical care conditions via treatment, prescriptions, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Licensed or credentialed in Texas as a Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority in cardiac critical care.
• Experience caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart diseases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with sensitivity and confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
