Advanced Practice Provider - Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care and Congenital Heart Disease

About the role

Deliver pediatric cardiac critical care in a specialized medical center as a Physician Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse with cardiac critical care credentials.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and resources.
• Document care processes according to standards and policies.
• Participate in staff and student education and orientation.
• Obtain patient history, perform assessments, and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Manage and treat cardiac critical care conditions through prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Engage in discharge planning and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing or licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• Experience caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart diseases in a pediatric cardiac ICU.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Sensitive, confidential, and collaborative team player.
