Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist

About the role

Seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist with pediatric cardiac experience and a valid Oklahoma license, including OBNDD and DEA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care for over 500 cardiac cases annually, including complex procedures like VAD and heart transplants.
• Manage anesthesia for adults, infants, children, and teens with congenital or acquired heart conditions.
• Monitor hemodynamics, resuscitation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, often supervising trainees.
• Handle cases in cardiac surgery, catheterization, and electrophysiology labs.

Requirements

• Completion of PEDS fellowship and pediatric cardiac anesthesia experience.
• Ability to work independently on scheduled shifts, perform complex anesthetic management, and participate in call duties.

Key Duties

• Conduct approximately 300 bypass surgeries, 200 catheterizations, and provide around 800 anesthetics yearly.
• Perform 5 ten-hour shifts per month, beginning early morning, with scheduled cases typically ending by late afternoon.
• Participate in pager call, including weeknights and weekends.
