Responsibilities

The selected individual for the advertised position is expected to participate in a year-long fellowship program with the goal of becoming an expert in pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and Immunotherapy. This position will rotate through outpatient HCT services (autologous and allogeneic transplant, immunotherapy, long term follow up/survivorship) and on the inpatient transplant service with increasing levels of independent patient care responsibility over the course of the year. Exposure to some of our unique clinical programs (including non-malignant transplantation, high risk leukemia, and survivorship) will be part of the learning experience as well. Approximately 75% of the year will be devoted to clinical activities with the remaining time available for the opportunity to participate in research projects, which will be determined based on identification of mentors and projects.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board eligible/certified in General Pediatrics (or foreign equivalent).
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington by anticipated start date.
