About the role

The Division of Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (BMT & CT) at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking an academic pediatric hematologist/oncologist with training and experience in blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Focus in clinical care and research in non-malignant diseases at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
  • Translational clinical research experience and clinical expertise in the treatment and clinical research related to blood and marrow transplantation & cellular therapy for patients with hemoglobinopathies, inborn errors of immunity, and other non-malignant diseases.
  • Independently obtained research funding.
  • Help to further develop our BMT & CT Program’s basic/translational research programs to funnel new ideas from bench to bedside.
  • Participate in the inpatient and outpatient clinical care of patients at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.

Qualifications

  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
  • M.D. and Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Extensive training and experience in blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy.
  • Demonstrate excellence in patient care and clinical research.
  • Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

  • Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
  • Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians.
  • The base salary range for the clinical effort of this position is $185,000 - $283,400 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • The additional salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
