About the role
The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a board certified/eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Assistant Professor level.
Responsibilities
- Participate in clinical care of pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new pediatric stem cell transplantation and collection programs.
- Collaborate with other departments and centers within the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Engage in clinical or translational research within existing programs in tumor biology, immunology, tolerance, and graft-versus-host disease.
- Participate in federally funded programs in pediatric oncology and sickle cell disease within the UM Batchelor Children’s Research Institute.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Experience in pediatric stem cell transplantation and collection.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD/DO).
- Completion of an accredited pediatric hematology/oncology residency program.
- Successful completion of a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship program.
Skills
- Expertise in pediatric hematologic and oncologic disorders.
- Ability to conduct and contribute to clinical and translational research.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
