About the role
This is not a traditional therapy role. As a Behavioral Health Care Manager, you will be the core member of an integrated, multi-disciplinary treatment team supporting a panel of patients with pediatric mental health needs. You’ll practice in a true Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), working alongside pediatricians and a psychiatric consultant to deliver measurement-based, outcomes-driven care to children and families at a population health impact.
Responsibilities
- Deliver brief, evidence-based interventions (CBT skills, Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Treatment, Parent-Management Training)
- Track outcomes using validated tools (PHQ-9, GAD-7, SCARED, etc.)
- Adjust care based on treatment-to-target principles
- Cook up and coordinate closely with pediatricians, psychiatrists, and families
- Support medication adherence and monitor response
- Drive patient engagement, follow-up, and continuity of care
Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or advanced practice psychiatric practitioner (NP)
- Licensed independently to practice
- Minimum 1-year of direct clinical experience working with children, adolescents and their families (e.g., ages 4-24 years old)
- Experience and training in delivering brief psychosocial evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, problem solving treatment, behavioral activation, motivational interviewing)
- Experience with care coordination
- Working knowledge of differential diagnosis of common mental health disorders. Strong skills in engaging parents and children, developing appropriate treatment planning, and ability to collaborate and communicate proactively with the key supports in a child’s life including external providers and school personnel

Pay
$35,000 to $40,000 annually based on experience
Schedule
20 hours/week, with opportunity to grow into full-time
3 days on-site for afternoons/evening hours between 1:30-7:30 pm (choice of Mon–Thurs)
3 flexible remote hours/week for admin, care coordination, and meetings
