Pediatric Autism-Focused Psychologist - Faculty - Assistant Professor

About the role

This position will provide clinical services to children with developmental concerns and their families, with a primary emphasis on Autism services. Conduct psychological assessments, including comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. Engage in consultation and liaison services with schools, community agencies, and other systems of care. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that may include medical providers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dieticians.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to children with developmental concerns and their families, with a primary emphasis on Autism services.
• Conduct psychological assessments, including comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
• Engage in consultation and liaison services with schools, community agencies, and other systems of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that may include medical providers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dieticians.
• Participate in professional development, scholarly activities, and administrative duties.
• Teach psychology learners, residents, and medical students as they rotate through our clinics.
• Deliver all levels of training as part of our mission to teach the next generation of providers.

Requirements

• A PhD or PsyD in an APA approved clinical psychology, school psychology, neuropsychology program, or appropriate subspecialty program.
• Candidates must also be licensed, or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin.
• Clinical experience assessing and treating children and specialized training, including fellowship in child psychology is preferred.
• Specialized training or experience in pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Demonstrated competence in psychological testing and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and families.

Qualifications

• Board certified / board eligible psychologist.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin.

• Clinical experience assessing and treating children and specialized training, including fellowship in child psychology is preferred.
