About the role
The Nemours Cardiac Center of the Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in the Cardiac Inpatient Telemetry Unit. This role is a full-time nocturnist position, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to provide high-quality care to children.
- Performs assessments, including medical histories and physical exams, and interprets lab and diagnostic test results.
- Develops and implements patient care management plans, including prescribing medications and other medical therapies.
- Provides patient and family teaching based on identified learning needs.
- Acts as a patient advocate and liaison between families and healthcare teams.
- Documents patient care and progress in the patient's chart.
- Fosters professional development among colleagues.
Requirements
- APRN: Compact State RN license, Delaware APRN License, Delaware CSR, Delaware DEA; Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification; AHA BLS and ACLS Certification upon hire.
- PA-C: Current DE State Licensure, Delaware CSR, Delaware DEA, National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, AHA BLS and ACLS certification upon hire.
- One to three years of experience required.
Qualifications
- APRN: Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- PA-C: National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
