Pedagogisch Professional BSO in opleiding
About the role
Humankind is a leading organization in the Netherlands in child development, with around 2,900 employees using pedagogical expertise to support optimal growth and flourishing of every child. The organization is small, close, warm and tender yet large and ambitious, contributing to a nicer society.
We invite you to apply only if you meet the requested profile. Other applications will not be processed. If you have always wanted to work at an after‑school care (BSO) but lack the required diploma, you can start via the Humankind Academy with a paid retraining programme that combines work and study. You receive a salary immediately and complete the training in a few months up to about a year (depending on your learning route). Afterwards you will work as a qualified pedagogical employee on the BSO group, ready to offer children a pleasant and educational time outside school hours.
Requirements
- Minimum MBO‑3 or HAVO diploma.
- A big heart for children and the desire to stimulate their development.
- Enthusiastic, friendly and easy to get along with children, parents and colleagues.
If your diploma no longer qualifies for childcare or you wish to retrain, Humankind offers a suitable retraining pathway. Choose the learning route that fits you:
- Learning route 1: for diplomas such as social work, activity supervisor or social care – qualifies you to work in daycare (KDV) and BSO.
- Learning route 2: for diplomas such as technical teaching assistant or art education – qualifies you to work in BSO.
- Learning route 3: EVC‑traject for those with work experience in care, people‑oriented or creative professions.
Benefits
- Meaningful work at a societal provider of childcare; the organization stands for quality, reliability, resilience and ingenuity.
- Extensive development opportunities, both professionally and personally, through online trainings and programmes, knowledge circles and a national study day.
- A solid and enjoyable onboarding programme, including a great “Hartelijk Welkomdag” to welcome you as a new colleague.
- Year‑end bonus (8%) and a proper travel‑expense allowance.
- Discounts on various outings and products via wegnahetwerk.
- Access to your own JijTelt‑shop where you can redeem points for handy or nice treats.
- And of course the nicest colleagues!

According to the new childcare CAO scale 5: gross between € 2,555 and € 3,425 per month based on a 36‑hour work week.
