Peak Season Repair Specialist

About the role

Responsibilities

• Learn to repair vehicle glass under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.
• Complete vehicle glass repairs including chips, cracks, and other auto glass-related issues.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company-issued tools, and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and any other required licenses.
• Completion of On-the-job training and Safelite SafeTech™ certification.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills and Abilities

• Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
• Use of a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintain professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
• Work with chemicals as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”.
• Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
• Problem-solving and ability to trouble-shoot issues independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write, and interpret the English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally and written (via computer or other electronic means).
• Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company uniform and PPE policies.
• Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition.

Benefits

Competitive weekly base pay starting at $18.50/hour. Additional benefits are available upon successful completion of the seasonal term and may vary based on company policy.
