About the role

Responsibilities
- Learn to repair vehicle glass under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.
- Complete vehicle glass repairs including chips, cracks, and other auto glass-related issues.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company-issued tools, and chemicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and any other required licenses.
- Completion of On-the-job training and Safelite SafeTech™ certification.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills and Abilities
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
- Use of a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Work with chemicals as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”.
- Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
- Problem-solving and ability to trouble-shoot issues independently and collaboratively.
- Read, write, and interpret the English language and technical directions.
- Communicate orally and written (via computer or other electronic means).
- Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company uniform and PPE policies.
- Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition.
Benefits
Competitive weekly base pay starting at $18.50/hour. Additional benefits are available upon successful completion of the seasonal term and may vary based on company policy.
