Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the preparation and execution of PD&E (Project Development and Environment) studies, ensuring full compliance with NEPA and FDOT guidelines.
- Oversee project concept alternative and design plan reviews to ensure they meet all applicable standards and guidelines.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in identifying project risks, opportunities for schedule acceleration, and strategies to minimize impacts.
- Aid in the strategic planning and growth of the PD&E team within GM2.
- Lead quality control reviews for PD&E, planning, and related disciplines, ensuring high standards and compliance.
- Manage project deliverables, including concept/design plans, reports, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project goals.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track invoices, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including FDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies.
- Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, Letters of Response, and other marketing materials for PD&E project pursuits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within one year of employment is preferred, but not required based on qualifications.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in PD&E studies, with a strong understanding of NEPA requirements.
- Prominent ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams on complex assignments.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of clients.
- Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
- Experience in marketing and managing a variety of projects for FDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies.
