PD Building Service Worker

The Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Building Service Worker in the Environmental Services department.

About the role

This role involves performing various cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and healthy environment within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Maintain restrooms and other high-touch areas.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Handle and dispose of waste materials safely and according to regulations.
• Assist with other environmental services tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in building maintenance or similar field preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work independently.

Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred.
