PCU - Clinical Nurse Nights

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a progressive care unit, focusing on post-operative cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medications.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
• Maintain safety and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Requirements

• Active RN license required.
• Nursing diploma or associate’s degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
• No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred if holding a bachelor's degree.
