PCT - Telemetry Monitoring (FT, Nights)

Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient's highest level of wellness. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the individualized care of patients under the direction of an RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve patient wellness goals.

Qualifications

• Experience: None required. If no previous experience, will be considered for PCA role with a required 175-hour training program provided by Mercy, completed as part of new hire orientation within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Experience: EMT, Paramedic, or previous patient care experience (e.g., PCA, CNA, or active nursing student).
• Required Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Preferred Education: CNA/CPTC certification, enrollment in a healthcare career program through high school, or current Mercy co-worker.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire. Completion of PCA/PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA), or Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT).

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
