About the role
The Patient Care Tech/Health Unit Coordinator collaborates with nurses and doctors to provide personalized care for patients. They perform tasks such as checking vital signs, assisting patients with mobility, collecting samples, reporting changes in condition, walking, activities of daily living (ADLs), weighing patients, and taking vitals.
Responsibilities
- Check vital signs, including temperature, heartbeat, and breathing.
- Help patients move around, get dressed, and eat.
- Collect samples like urine.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition to a nurse.
- Walk, ADLs, Weighing Patients; Vitals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS CPR certificate (training provided if needed).
- Experience: No previous job experience is required, but having completed STNA, CNA, or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training, or having helped care for patients for the past 5 years, or currently being in nursing school and finishing one clinical rotation, is preferred.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain courteous.
- Proficiency in using a computer.
