Job Description

The PCS Senior Trust Advisor administers and retains assigned accounts, including trusts, estates, personal retirement and agency relationships. Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with clients, determines their financial goals and objectives and develops comprehensive financial strategies and plans. Explains terms of governing documents and advises clients concerning banking needs, estate planning, gifting, and tax matters.

Responsibilities

  • Develops internal and external networks, obtains referrals from clients, and expands and deepens current relationships.
  • Achieves assigned sales goals by focusing on a specialty within Private Trust, such as Real Estate or Probate.
  • Administers most complex and larger accounts, ensuring relevant client financial information is gathered and coordinating with other internal personnel.
  • Reviews and implements client proposals, obtains feedback, and assists with plan implementation as appropriate.
  • Maintains and resolves client accounts, offering alternatives to principals and beneficiaries as needed.
  • Participates in presentations to individual and institutional clients, providing information on tax and financial planning services.
  • Manages book of business/clients to achieve individual objectives for revenue realization and account profitability.
  • Develops and manages business plans, identifies referral opportunities, and engages PCS partners and internal/external contacts to close on those opportunities.
  • Attracts and retains new business relationships, cross-selling existing clients.
  • Manages less experienced staff, including administrative staff, providing training, advice, and guidance on complex and non-routine matters.
  • Communicates with Investment, Tax, Private Trust personnel and other appropriate internal areas to update client information.
  • Ensures proper administration of Company policies and regulatory guidelines, coordinating services.
  • Provides oversight and support for tax and financial planning business development activities of the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to 7+ years of related experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of wills, estate, trust, and investments.
  • Financial or professional designations required.
  • Ability to formulate complete financial plans for major clients.
  • Strong sales ability, including proven experience successfully attracting new clients.
  • Strong execution skills and action-oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Systematic, integrated, and critical thinker with flexibility and ability to think out of the box to provide solutions to meet a variety of business/market needs.
  • Completion of a recognized trust school program preferred prior to employment.
