Duties and Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs and replaces through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) packages including QFP, BGA, chip components, SOIC, axial and radial components.
- Performs solder operations according to J-STD-001 and IPC-610 specifications.
- Maintain and operate various Printed Circuit Board Assembly Equipment including Surface Mount lines, Robotic Soldering, X-Ray, Automated Optical Inspection, and Conformal Coating Applications.
- Performs functional testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.
- Utilize test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Help maintain work area in an orderly condition by returning tools, equipment, and materials to storage areas.
Qualifications
- Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent with one or more years of experience.
- Electronics Technology degree or three years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to work with common hand tools.
- Must be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Ability and willingness to work on systems which have unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials.
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field required.
