PCA/PCT - 4D Cardiac Intermediate

About the Role

Assist in the individualized care of patients under the supervision of a nurse or LPN, performing clinical procedures and support tasks in a fast-paced cardiac surgical intermediate care unit. Provide compassionate care and manage advanced therapies such as chest tubes, lytic therapy, vasopressors, BiPAP, insulin drips, and more while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized patient care under supervision
• Assist with advanced clinical therapies (chest tubes, lytic therapy, vasopressors, BiPAP, insulin drips, etc.)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a cardiac surgical intermediate care unit

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• CNA or CPTC certification preferred
• Completion of a Mercy-sponsored training program if no prior experience
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire
• PCA competencies within 3 months of hire

• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing
• Frequent bending or reaching
