PCA/ Nurse Assistant - Surgical Acute - Green Hospital - Days

About the role

Scripps Green Hospital, located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, has been serving the greater San Diego community since 1977. It provides several nationally ranked specialty programs and is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines, offering a wide range of medical and surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs
• Takes vitals
• Patient transport
• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties

Requirements

• One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider
• Current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school
• Current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English
• CNA certification preferred
• One-year patient related experience preferred

Pay

Position Pay Range: $25.48-$30.89/hour
