RN - Registered Nurse - Surgical PCU - Days

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Surgical PCU team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. This PCU unit specializes in post-operative care for abdominal and thoracic surgery patients.

About the role

• Independently care for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
• Professional accountability and development.

Requirements

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (required).
• ACLS Certification (if required by department).
• Nurse Specialty certification (preferred).
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum 6 months of RN experience.
• Experience with tubes, drains, ostomy, and wound care (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical skills.

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM.
• Weekend work: Every other weekend.
• On-call: Not required.
