About the role
Personal Care Aide responsible for providing essential in-home care to clients, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Follow client's care plan and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheet.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, meal preparation, feeding, and using mobility equipment.
- Encourage client self-help and independence while maintaining safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and report any safety concerns or changes in client condition.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, providing quality care within scope.
- Assist with secondary tasks like laundry, light cleaning, and grocery shopping as needed.
- Only help with medication self-administration, never administer medications directly.
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma preferred, with the ability to read and write.
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong communication, attention to safety, and ability to follow detailed care plans.
This role reports to the Home Care Manager or designated staff and emphasizes adherence to policies, safety procedures, and client privacy.
