About the role
Provide expert network and computer support to hospital staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software, monitoring network traffic, overseeing automatic backups, and analyzing problems promptly.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and various productivity tools.
- Provide remote desktop support using remote desktop tools and techniques.
- Support Windows Operating System, Novell Software, Microsoft Office Software, and other approved IT applications.
- Respond to user inquiries about supported software and offer assistance.
- Contribute to software licensing efforts.
- Resolve personal computer hardware issues in a timely manner.
- Direct users to appropriate resources for issues outside IT’s purview.
- Maintain thorough records of user assistance requests and evaluate them to identify training needs.
- Collaborate closely with IT management and report potential problems immediately.
Technology Awareness and Education
- Stay current with evolving technological trends to ensure the hospital’s IT infrastructure remains cutting-edge and secure.
- Attend educational programs and training sessions to expand knowledge of technological advancements.
- Consult trade periodicals, websites, and other sources to keep up with new trends.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for staying current with technology.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi configuration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist users effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with Windows OS and Mac OS, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining desktop hardware components (CPUs, RAM, hard drives, peripherals).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
Pay
Salary range: $57,450.00 – $91,936.00 USD. Compensation is determined by job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. Some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The listed range reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
