PC Assembler/Solder
About the role
The successful candidate must have 2-3 years' experience performing precision hand soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components to IPC Class 3 standards, responsible for assembling and soldering high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs) and sub-assemblies in accordance with industry standards such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision hand soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components to IPC Class 3 standards.
- Assemble and solder high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs) and sub-assemblies in accordance with industry standards such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610.
- Use operating soldering equipment, microscopes, and other assembly tools.
- Read and interpret assembly documents and engineering drawings.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in PCB or electronics assembly, preferably in a Hi-Rel or relative environment.
- Proficiency in soldering to IPC J-STD- A-610 Class 3 standards.
- Certification in IPC J-ATD-001 and/or IPC-A-610.
- Experience in working under a microscope and magnification and with fine-pitch components.
- Familiarity with ESD protection procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Qualifications
- Strong computer and written skills (a plus).
- Willingness to train an enthusiastic applicant willing to learn a new skill.
Skills
- Proficiency in soldering to IPC J-STD- A-610 Class 3 standards.
- Certification in IPC J-ATD-001 and/or IPC-A-610.
- Experience in working under a microscope and magnification and with fine-pitch components.
- Familiarity with ESD protection procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.

Pay
Salary Range is 54K-58K annum depending on experience.
Schedule
We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, which gives employees every other Friday off. This schedule includes longer workdays—9 hours and 45 minutes with a mandatory 45-minute lunch break. One week consists of four workdays (36 hours), and the following week includes five workdays (45 hours). Despite this variation, employees are paid for a consistent 40-hour workweek, with weekly pay.
