PBX Technician

Quantum Sky is searching for a PBX Technician to support a commercial customer around Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• All adds, moves, and changes required by Novant Health through Service Now Incident and work order process (RITM), including:
  • Supporting Ribbon C20/A2 switches (primary work; previous experience with these switches required)
  • Conversing and working with customers on installation and troubleshooting of all telephony-related devices
  • Executing any telecommunications-related tasks directed by Novant Telecommunication Director, Managers, or Supervisors
  • New phone installs
  • Phone database troubleshooting
  • Phone repairs, including:
    • Driving to site as required for phone replacement
    • Patch cord replacement at set
    • Handset replacement
    • Handset cord replacement
  • Voice mail-related tasks
  • Basic Auto Attendant (AA) programming
  • Analog configuration of Grandstream/Mediatrix SIP to Analog gateways
  • Working with Novant Infrastructure for IP address reservations for Gateways
  • Building analog lines in C20
  • Patching in patch panels or cross-connecting jumpers in MDF/IDF
  • Connecting and testing devices
  • Assisting Novant Telecom with updating documentation of telecom spreadsheets for IP addresses
  • Working with Novant data Infrastructure to troubleshoot data connectivity to phones
• Must be able to complete an immunization test (required for onsite work in hospitals)

Pay

The salary range for this position is typically between $45–50/hour. Compensation is unique to each candidate and based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and other requirements. The stated range does not guarantee a specific salary and may fall outside of it.
