About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a PBX Operator PRN to join Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services. As a PBX operator, you will handle incoming and outgoing calls, monitor emergency alarms, and notify necessary personnel. Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency requests for cardiac care units and resuscitation teams by activating pagers, using the public address system, and following established procedures.
• Provide clerical support to various departments while managing calls and emergency codes, including organizing, labeling, laminating, mask preparation, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience on a multiple-position telephone switchboard.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to identify and assist in resolving service issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently, self-directed, and motivated.
• Effective and pleasant communication with all individuals.
