PBX Operator PD
About the role
Cottage Health seeks a PBX Operator for their CH Navigation Center department responsible for operating the PBX console, ensuring that all calls to CHS hospitals are handled in an expedient, accurate and pleasant manner. Utilizes paging and other communications system, handles emergency procedures, acts as base station for the Security Officers and monitors and responds to all alarm systems located in the Communications Center.
Responsibilities
- Operates the PBX console program and other communications systems in the department.
- Handles emergency procedures.
- Acts as base station for the Security Officers.
- Maintains and monitors all alarm systems located in the Communications Center.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Ability to use a PC to operate the PBX console program and other communications systems in the department.
- Preferred: 1 year of PBX operator or customer service experience.

Pay
Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
Schedule
Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program.
