PBX Operator - Part Time Regular - Varied Shift- 8hr FPH

Job Summary

Operates telephone switchboard and receive incoming calls. Uses overhead paging, two-way radios, and other communications equipment to relay messages and transfer information. Acts as an information source for callers and drop-by visitors. Announces and relays information concerning fire alarms, disasters, code blue, and other emergencies.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific diploma/degree required but must have acquired knowledge/skills to use correct grammar and spelling.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Minimum Experience Requirement: Previous switchboard experience and clerical experience desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Minimum License Requirement: Must be able to travel between campuses.
