PB Quality Inspector - Saxdor
Responsibilities
- Ensure established Quality standards and objectives are met or exceeded within assigned area of responsibility.
- Review Quality/Warranty issues and determine root cause.
- Work with Manufacturing to present problems and countermeasures through the CAR system.
- Complete required system checks, including but not limited to:
- AC/DC electrical equipment
- Drainage system
- Fresh water system
- Waste system
- Fuel system and fuel restriction test
- AC/Heat
- Propulsion system
- Performance testing in pool or inshore
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Use measuring devices such as ultrasound machines, wet film gauges, moisture meters, etc.
Requirements
- General knowledge and understanding of required power tools.
- Ability to understand and execute top-quality work.
- Must pass drug/alcohol screening contingent on the hiring process.
- Must stand and work in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day.
- Must work efficiently and follow all safety regulations at all times.
- Must be able to work at heights above four feet.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment
- Exposure to ambient cold temperatures in winter and heat in summer.
- Very dusty environment with airborne particulates from cutting, drilling, and grinding.
- Exposure to extremely sharp tooling used for cutting fiberglass; safety glasses required at all times.
- Typical 10-hour workdays; frequent overtime required.
