PB Floor Lead - Parcel - 1st Shift

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of a Supervisor.
  • Aid in training and onboarding of new employees, as well as ongoing coaching for current staff.
  • Maintain an overview of workflow and adjust priorities as necessary to meet daily production and shipping goals.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper product handling.
  • Identify and communicate operational issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies to leadership.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Check equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs.
  • Aid in resolving minor employee concerns and escalate more complex issues as needed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment is required.
  • Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role is preferred.
  • A strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices is required.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills is required.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and lift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds independently and perform physical labor for extended periods.
