Payroll Tax Specialist

About the role

The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for all timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll tax-related activities including customer service support. The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with internal colleagues to resolve customer inquiries
• Provides administrative support with case inquiries and follow up
• Resolves low complexity, high volume tasks related to workflow, as assigned
• Communicates internally with colleagues via client cases and email
• Ability to navigate within Salesforce to document customer inquiries and resolution
• Processes various data entry related tasks within the Payroll Tax organization such as payments, reports, check requests, registrations, and filings

Requirements

• Typically 1+ years of experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• General education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training preferred
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certificate preferred
• Minimal travel requirements
• Overtime may be required as projects dictate, primarily during reporting months
• Use of headset to communicate is required

Pay

The salary range for this location (Atlanta, GA) is $24.81 to $37.21 per hour. A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on skills, education, work location, and experience. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
