Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Payroll Tax Specialist to manage multi-state and international payroll tax compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and issue resolution. This role ensures accurate tax filings, maintains compliance with changing regulations, and partners with cross-functional teams to support payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN), ADP SmartCompliance, and Workday.
- Manage federal, state, local, and international payroll tax compliance and filings.
- Reconcile payroll tax and general ledger accounts.
- Audit payroll tax transactions, W-2s, and W-2c corrections.
- Research and resolve payroll tax issues, agency notices, and tax discrepancies.
- Monitor tax law changes and update payroll processes and systems.
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, Human Resources, and Accounting teams.
- Support internal and external payroll tax audits.
- Ensure accurate and timely year-end tax reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or Associate degree with 5+ years of payroll tax experience.
- CPP or FPC certification preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP SmartCompliance, Workday, and payroll tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes, reconciliations, W-2s, and payroll tax reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large, multi-state payroll environments.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting and general ledger reconciliations.
- Experience driving process improvements and payroll system enhancements.
