About the role
We are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Payroll Supervisor to manage and oversee our payroll department. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll system, maintains compliance with regulations, and provides exceptional service to employees in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment to all employees.
- Manage and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
- Compile and maintain payroll records and reports for both internal and external purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Coordinate with the HR department to synchronize and update employee data.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop payroll staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to improve payroll procedures and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the payroll field, including legislation changes, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll supervisory role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Extensive experience with union payroll is essential.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax procedures, and wage and hour laws.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software.

Pay
$100,000 - $115,000 per year
