Payroll Supervisor

Summary

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. — Onsite

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Payroll function and ensures controls are in place
• Ensures payroll is completed according to schedule and payments are made accurately and timely
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting to the IRS and other external agencies
• Oversees system testing for payroll system upgrades and enhancements
• Identifies process improvement initiatives and defines standards for new processes
• Assists team in a backup role for payroll processing during critical times
• Oversees research, analysis, and resolution of technical issues or questions
• Sets up new benefit plans, adjusts benefit limits, creates and tests new earnings and deduction codes, and manages account posting rules for payroll
• Oversees planning and testing of payroll system upgrades and enhancements for Payroll
• Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues

Requirements

• Required Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Required Work Experience: Accounting - 5 years with 1 year of leadership experience
