About the role
The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources department. The Payroll Specialist supports accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role ensures precise calculation and distribution of wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits, while maintaining comprehensive payroll records and resolving payroll-related inquiries. The Payroll Specialist collaborates closely with Human Resources and Finance to support audits and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supports accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Precisely calculate and distribute wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain comprehensive payroll records.
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance to support audits and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- One of the following education and experience combinations:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1 year of payroll experience;
- Associates degree in a related field with 2 years of payroll experience;
- Advanced degree in a non-related field with 3+ years of payroll experience.
- A High School Diploma with 6+ years of payroll experience.
- Proven computer skills using a payroll/HRIS system.
- An active driver’s license.
