Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience required; healthcare or hospice experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Accurately and timely process multi-state payroll
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Provide exceptional support to employees and leaders regarding payroll-related inquiries
- Process payrolls for multi-state employees in accordance with established payroll schedules
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
- Audit payroll reports prior to transmission to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process off-cycle payments, bonuses, commissions, and final pay in compliance with state requirements
- Process employee status changes, new hires, terminations, direct deposit updates, and other payroll-related transactions
- Afford support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
- Afford assistance with process improvement initiatives and payroll documentation
