Payroll Specialist
What will you do
- Interpret and apply prevailing wage determinations based on project scope, classification, and jurisdiction
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly certified payroll reports (CPRs)
- Input and audit payroll data, job classifications, fringe benefits, and hours worked
- Track and communicate wage determination updates and rate changes
- Cook with project managers, operations teams, and payroll team to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain documentation for audits and government compliance reviews
- Collect and maintain documentation supporting apprentice compliance including, apprentice program affiliation and registration, apprentice hour tracking by project and contractor
- Aid with other payroll and benefit tasks as required

Do you have the Spark?
- A High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must have 3–5 years of experience in prevailing wage or certified payroll within construction preferred
- Knowledge of the IRA tax credits, Davis-Bacon Act and relevant state/local laws
- Proficiency in payroll systems, (Paylocity), Microsoft Office, (especially Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with certified payroll systems (e.g., LCPtracker, Emars)
