Job Description
As an integral part of the Charlotte NC office team you will be responsible for the management of all payroll related functions to ensure proper set-up, processing, and generation of the payroll for all company entities within the country.
- Crosses several states and jurisdictions
- Manage all payroll related functions
- Calculate the effect of changes in the employee population or changes in laws and by-laws
- Established expertise in the field and provides counsel and advisory to management
- Ensure the computing, withholding, and calculating of deductions associated with net pay is done properly, including federal and state withholding and unemployment insurances, as well as direct deposit information
- Ensure calculations of gross to net payments of expenses related to relocation and expatriation
- Reconcile payroll accounts, prepare journal entries, and assist finance or HR teams during audits
- Create analytical reports for corporate, sub-regional and cluster management
- Communicate with employees with regards to individual salary and deduction considerations
- Aid with year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Ensure proper use of country payroll system in view of integration and/or consolidation of payroll data at group level
What You Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of large-scale payroll experience in a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Analyst role
- Proven experience working within a payroll function in mid-sized to large organization
- Demonstrated expertise managing high-volume payrolls (weekly and bi-weekly) for 1,200+ employees
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce detailed, accurate reports
- In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting principles and cross-functional finance processes
- Experience ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
