About the role

We are seeking a **Payroll Specialist** to manage biweekly payroll processing, payroll tax reporting, general ledger postings, reconciliations, and compliance with federal and state regulations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll audits, ERP and timekeeping systems, and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a closely related area
  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle payroll, including payroll processing for large employee groups
  • Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and payroll tax regulations
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to review, organize, and validate payroll data accurately
  • Understanding of general ledger activity, reconciliations, and payroll-related accounting entries
  • A high attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a dependable approach to meeting deadlines

Qualifications

Hands-on experience managing full-cycle payroll, including payroll processing for large employee groups, is required. A working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and payroll tax regulations is essential. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform is preferred. Strong Excel skills with the ability to review, organize, and validate payroll data accurately are necessary. Understanding of general ledger activity, reconciliations, and payroll-related accounting entries is crucial. A high attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a dependable approach to meeting deadlines are key.

This is a 9-12 month CONTRACT paying $30/hr. Benefits are available to contract/temporary professionals, including medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
