Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for both Union and Non-Union employees with accuracy and compliance
- Manage all aspects of employee benefits including new hire enrollment, qualifying life event changes, payroll deductions, and open enrollment support
- Handle onboarding of new hires, terminations, and all employee data management
- Cookrecruiting activities including scheduling and pre-employment verifications
- Coordinate workers compensation claims from start to finish
- Reconcile and process monthly invoices including ADP, health, dental, vision, voluntary plans, and union-related billing
- Generate reports including month-end reporting, union headcount, census data, and ad hoc requests
- Ensure proper COBRA notifications and enrollments for eligible employees and dependents
- Collaborate with IT to set up new hire system access
- Support the HR team with administrative duties across the broader business
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of payroll experience
- Proficiency with ADP Payroll systems, Workforce Now preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information
- Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions with confidence
- Able to work effectively with a diverse workforce
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
