Our client, a non-profit in the behavioral health space, is seeking a contract-to-hire Payroll Specialist to join their team of 4, processing payroll for a multi-state workforce of over 1,500 employees.
Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize ADP to manage payroll operations efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment to over 500 employees, adhering to all relevant regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.
- Identify areas for improvement within payroll systems and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in full-cycle payroll, including multi-state payroll processing.
- Proficiency in using ADP for payroll management.
- Hands-on experience managing payroll for over 200 employees.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and addressing employee concerns.
