Responsibilities

  • Administer weekly in-house payroll for a large employee population that includes both union hourly staff and salaried employees.
  • Handle full-cycle payroll activities from data review and calculation through final processing, reconciliation, and record maintenance.
  • Process payroll accurately across multiple states while following applicable wage, tax, and labor requirements.
  • Bring delayed certified payroll reporting up to date and maintain timely submissions going forward.
  • Support payroll administration related to employee medical leave and ensure proper pay handling and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance-focused payroll records and resolve discrepancies by researching issues and coordinating corrections as needed.
  • Aid with payroll setup and configuration activities within systems such as Viewpoint Vista, LCP Tracker, and related payroll platforms.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve payroll accuracy, strengthen controls, and keep payroll operations running efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience with hands-on responsibility for full-cycle processing.
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment of more than 500 employees.
  • Working knowledge of certified payroll requirements and reporting practices.
  • Ability to process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, including union populations.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista and LCP Tracker; experience with CSLCP is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, deductions, taxes, and recordkeeping standards.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and follow-through when handling sensitive payroll data.
