Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a contract basis through year-end, with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 600+ employees
• Process multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and commission-based employees
• Ensure payroll tax compliance and resolve payroll tax discrepancies
• Lead Paycom optimization and enhancement initiatives
• Create and update SOPs, policies, and payroll documentation
• Support benefits administration and Open Enrollment activities
• Generate payroll reports and analytics using Excel
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
• Provide HR Generalist support as needed

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing multi-state payroll
• Strong payroll tax and compliance knowledge
• Advanced Paycom experience, including system optimization and troubleshooting
• Experience resolving payroll tax issues within Paycom
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Benefits administration and Open Enrollment experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
