Responsibilities
- Manage complete payroll processing cycles for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and on-time completion.
- Administer multi-state payroll activities while applying federal, state, and local payroll requirements appropriately.
- Use Workday Now to process payroll transactions, review employee data, and resolve payroll-related discrepancies.
- Audit payroll records, deductions, taxes, and earnings to identify issues and correct them before final payroll submission.
- Partner with internal teams to gather and validate timekeeping, compensation, and employee information that impacts payroll.
- Respond to payroll questions from employees and stakeholders, providing clear and timely resolution to pay-related concerns.
- Maintain organized payroll documentation and support compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Proven experience handling full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing and post-payroll reconciliation.
- Background managing payroll for employees located in multiple states with an understanding of varying payroll rules.
- Experience with Workday
- Experience supporting payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with sensitive payroll data.
- Knowledge of payroll practices, tax withholdings, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven setting
