Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for a large employee population, ensuring pay is calculated correctly and delivered on schedule.
• Manage payroll activities across multiple states while following applicable tax, wage, and regulatory requirements.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, review, and validate payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by reviewing records, correcting errors, and coordinating with internal stakeholders as needed.
• Audit payroll reports before and after each cycle to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain organized payroll documentation and support reporting requests related to payroll activity and employee records.
• Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping with professionalism and clarity.

Requirements

• Prior experience processing full-cycle payroll independently.
• Background handling multi-state payroll in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.
• Experience supporting payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers.
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, deductions, taxes, and compliance standards.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies quickly.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
